The Town of Keenesburg is a Statutory Town in Weld County, Colorado, United States. The population was 1,250 at the 2020 United States Census.[5] It is home to The Wild Animal Sanctuary.

History

Keenesburg was named for Les Keene, an early settler.[7]

Keenesburg is located at 40°6′32″N 104°31′13″W / 40.10889°N 104.52028°W / 40.10889; -104.52028 (40.108821, -104.520228).[8]

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.6 square miles (1.6 km2), of which, 0.6 square miles (1.6 km2) of it is land and 1.75% is water.
